zboxassist the guys at Exspans are amazing programmers. The biggest mistake with them is to tell them what you want them to do, rather than what you need. So often the solution to what I needed doing was not the way I conceived it. Case in point was the message frequency counter. "If message x appears more than 10 times in a minute, take this corrective action".

MSG=ZBA0147E COUNT=(10,60)
VAR &PRODSUP LEN 128
CMD (C RASREPRT)
EMAIL TO &PRODSUP
SUBJECT 'RASREPRT Cancelled'
'Too many missed hits'

A number of years ago, I remember a discussion I had with Exspans about how to handle too many repeated messages. Two main cases:
1. Max number of messages before you start ignoring them
2. Min number of messages before you begin processing on them
Since AutoMan can be up for months on end, there needs to be something to reset the counters. A time limit seems to be the most logical.
We ending up agreeing that a simple COUNT=(nn,tt) should handle both situations.
